The Grandiose Mundane - In this drawing assignment we discuss how it's not what the studnets draw, but rather how it's drawn that makes the image exciting.  We also discuss the effects of scale on the image.  A very small artwork draws the viewr in to an intimate realationship with the artowrk, while large scale artwork tends to push the viewer back, but enveloping them, making them a part of the artwork.  Cropping the image, or zooming-in, is also required.  It can add a dimension of abstration to the image and keeps the audience guessing as to what the object actually is.

*The large dimension of all these drawings is 44 inches (111 cm).
